It's A Boy!!!
Well, ladies and gentlemen, it's official! It's a boy! Either that, or a girl with two long legs and one short one. I really just hope it's a boy, because it would be rather awkward if it was a girl. But I digress...by the way, did you ever notice that the word awkward is very awkward to spell? Yeah, me, too!
So we went in today for the ultrasound, and got confirmation almost immediately that our baby will be a boy.
For those of you just finding out, this is our official notice. We are only at 17 weeks (Delphine would say, "ONLY?!?!?"), and really wanted to make sure before we let the cat out of the bag.
We've got a name, too! I know what you are thinking...how in the WORLD could you have possibly come up with a name so quickly, after only finding out today? Well, the answer is simple, really.
You see, when we had Allie, we went in not knowing which sex the baby would be, so we HAD to have two names. So, really, we've had this name for almost 2 1/2 years now! We are going to call him...
Nathaniel Jeaux Becker
Nathaniel after my cousin Nathan, one of my best men at my wedding. It also happens to be one of our favorite characters on Six Feet Under...but MOSTLY it's my cousin! Congrats, Nate!
Jeaux after my great friend Jeaux of Jeaux.com fame. Jeaux is a unique person with a lot of qualities that I hope Nathaniel will appreciate and learn.

Blood tests and good ultrasound doublechecking point to a healthy baby who is 4 days bigger than he should be, but not so big that they are setting any red flags out, so all in all we are really happy about the results, and can't wait to start getting ready for the new arrival.
Oh, and try to help us break the news to Allie...she still seems to think she is getting a baby sister...
