A Christmas Poem for 2004 |
||||
| 1 | 'Twas the day they call Christmas, This was no pipe dream. Every creature was stirring Their coffee and cream. |
3 | From all o'er the country Our guests did arrive, From Wyo and Cali, Grand Junction, oh my! |
|
| 2 | The presents were piled up By the tree with great care And knew that St. Nicholas Had surely been there. |
4 | We dined on some prime rib, and salmon and more, And wished all a safe trip When they walked out the door. |

The gang's all here: (from left to right) Grandpa Steve, Kevin, Grandma Joan,
Alex (standing), Ben, Nick, Canaan, Baby Sam, Great Gran Chambers,
Grandma Eleanor, Myles (standing), and Delphine.
Not shown: Allie, who slept right through Christmas dinner.
Man, did we have a great time! 13 people in the house, and the word chaos never really came into play. Delphine cooked for days before hand, and the food was exquisite. We had great meals for Christmas Eve (salmon, and a ton of great fixins), and Christmas (Prime Rib and a ton of great side dishes like mashed potatoes, broccoli cheese rice, spinach ham yam casserole, salad, and more). We also had a turkey that we made on Christmas, that we ended up eating on Sunday, because we were all stuffed from the prime rib! We had enough leftovers to eat the side dishes on Sunday, and send home lots of food with the newphews, and the Grand Junction convoy. It was amazing to be a part of.
All in all, probably one of the best Christmases I've ever been a part of. Family is great, isn't it!!!
I hope you had a great Christmas and are blessed with a wonderful new year!
Cheers,
-Myles-
