I know the picture shown here isn't of a rodeo, but silly dad forgot his camera, so this shot was taken by the camera in his phone out in the carnival area of the Cheyenne Frontier Days grounds. I tried to take a picture in the rodeo area, but it didn't come out good.
And really...the day was more about Allie's first real "rollercoaster" ride with me. Even though, technically, it wasn't a rollercoaster, it was a Ferris wheel. It was still something thrilling for her and me. She really had NO fear being up that high and going around and around. She tried to stand up several times, so I had to keep a close watch on her.
After the Ferris wheel, she wanted to go on a small kids rollercoaster, but we caught up with some friends, the Martin's, and hung out with them, going on the carousel, and going down the REALLY big slide twice (pictures to come soon). That was more fun, anyway...it was about 3-4 stories tall, and had three levels, dipping down each time. They gave us a burlap sack to ride on, to make it even faster, and it was a blast having her on my lap, screaming down the slide. As soon as we got done the first time, she immediately wanted to go again, so we did.
All in all, it was a really fun day spent with friends and family. She did get to see a lot of rodeo, too, and she will gladly tell you about the "bulls, and cowboys, and sheep, and horses" that she got to watch.
