Welcome Noah Myles Richards!!!

Woo-Hoo!!!

I cannot believe how cool my sister and brother-in-law are! Actually, I can. My sister's been cool all my life, I just didn't realize it until we were both "grown up". And Kevin was cool from the moment I met him!

Please welcome Noah Myles Richards to the world!
Born on Good Friday (April 14), 2006 at 12:32 a.m., San Francisco time
8 lbs. - 8 oz.
20½ inches long

She called us at 11:00 last night to let us know they were heading to the hospital with contractions. No water breaking at home this time. By the time they got to the hospital, it was about 11:35 and she was already dilated to 9 cm, so they didn't let her have any drugs, but little Noah was born within an hour, so thankfully, it wasn't too long for her to work.

I truly am blessed to have the wonderful family that I have, and I cannot wait to meet the little guy who has my name sake.

Some information on the name Noah:
It is of Hebrew origin, and its meaning is "restful" or "peaceful." Also possibly "long-lived", "comforter", or "wanderer." Biblical: the patriarch survivor of the Great Flood who drifted in the ark for 40 days. According to the biblical account, all the world's nations are descended from Noah's three sons.

Noah, that might seem like a lot of pressure, but rest for now. There will be time, soon enough, for all that other stuff.

One last thing before I sign off for now...a haiku for my new nephew.

Noah's here at last
Midnight thirty, come on out
What joy he will bring

I love you, little guy! And I cannot wait to see you next month.

Your Uncle Seussman,
-Myles-
